Bosque del Apache Zine

The Bosque del Apache National Wildlife Refuge is a national preserve in Southern New Mexico dedicated to protecting a natural environment for a wide variety of birds including rocky mountain sandhill cranes, Canadian geese, herons, and more. This zine serves to demonstrate the importance of preserving wildlife and ecosystems, as well as to share the incredible moments an individual may see while visiting the Bosque.

PROJECT
The Bosque del Apache is a national wildlife refuge located in southern New Mexico. It was established as a bird sanctuary in 1939 to provide a safe resting space for the migrating birds.

In January 2016 I spent several days observing and photographing thousands of birds in this beautiful landscape. I wanted to share these moments with others in an affordable but physical publication. I distributed these zines to people I met in Japan, Germany and the United States.
